The Fish is buried under the workload again!!!

I remember that I blogged similar post last year (with similar heading). Anw, I think this year is even worse.

At this time (23.24 of a Thursday night), I was still in a sch blouse. Havent showerd...havent done anything but sitting in front of 'Tough' (that's how I called my lovely IBM).

I have been discussing projects and reports with my frens on MSN (RB423,FN313), checking files that my frends sent via emails (RB423,FN313) , looking thru regression excels (FN313) and trying to merge 4 word docs into 1 (RB423) as you guys can see from a pic below...

My exams are coming soon. I havent started studying yet.
Still have loads of assignments to do and chapters to read...sign...

And I'm so sick of excelllllllllllll
RB423, FN428, FN313...excellllllllll
I'm puking excellllllllllllll
(--")

I know you guys are having a busy time too...so Jia You!!! (Did I spell it correctly?)

Lesson Taught by an American

This might sound stupid but it actually did happen. The story was that Dan, an American from Oregon, was about to go home after the practice. He spoke fluent Thai so I said 'waddee' to him. Waddee being the short of 'Sawasdee', a Thai word for hello.
He then gave me this stunned look. I asked him what happened. He said that I gave him 'half a wai'. Therefore, I had to say 'sawasdee ka' to him. He also asked how old I was. It turned out that I was younger than him. He said 'pen nong ni' (I was his 'sis'). Hence, I gave him the full 'wai' with 'sawasdee ka P' Dan'.
Man! This was really embarrassing. I had to be careful from now on then. I had to be a very nice and proper Thai (trying hard). = )

Singapura: 2nd day

tH and her friends picked me up from feli’s hall in the morning. We went to Holland Village for breakfast at a place I cant remember its name right now. There were toasts, eggs and tea/coffee in a set. Nothing fantastic though. Then we headed back to tH’s hall.

We were going to Orchard Rd. today to meet up with our friend who stayed in the ulu part of the island- YP. It was raining so heavy that we couldn’t leave the hall until noon. To kill time, tH and I took some photos tgt.

Then it was time to go to town.
These are some photos I took on my way there.

It used to be a straight road on the left. Dunno why they changed it.
We met up with feli first at Taka. There I enjoyed my fave takoyaki- Takopachi. I missed it so much. We walked to food court at W i s m a A t r i u m. I wanted to eat both yong tao foo and laksa. I cldnt decide (as usual) so Feli suggested that I should get former and she would get the latter. We could share half-half.

YP came to join us after a while. After lunch, we walked to the Heeren. Then we walked back towards Lido for a movie in the evening. Along the way, we stopped at some points for desserts.
Ice-cream...

and more ice-cream...

Kendric (Feli’s bf) came around 6 to join us for dinner at NYDC.

It was a tiring day. However, the four of us got to be tgt again after 4 yrs.
Some extra photos.

Singapura: 3rd day

Eunice and I met at Holland V. for lunch. We both were craving for roti prata. We searched ard the area for a prata stall until we found one at Food Junction. I could also find prata in THA. Anw, it was diff from what was sold here.
Chendol...shld be in a glass tho...

After lunch, we still had time before I needed to leave to fetch my aunt at the airport. We decided to walk back to N U S. It took us almost an hour but the time was well-spent as we had a nice chat along the way.
M O E...4 yrs of free ed...thk you.
ACJC

Kendric and Feli gave me a lift to the airport. They waited with me there too. It was very nice of them. My aunt arrived and we caught a shuttle bus to the hotel on the East Coast.

Singapura: 4th day

I would be meeting 3 friends this very day; Pris during lunch, my new friend at 4 at Raffles City, and CL at 8 at City Hall.
Pris...at a coffee shop near Bugis

Then killed time at S u n t e c C i t y...
Fountain of Wealth
I found Roots there! So I bought a new bagpack.
Then at 4 I met my new fren. Cant tell you who this person is until Oct.
He was nice enough to show me around the Marina Bay area.
A tunnel under the E s p l a n a d e

Ard the bay area

Finally CL at 8!
Jinglun (a guy I met in Ottawa and he happens to be CL's fren) joined us too.
We went for dinner at a burmese rest. near the MRT station.

Then a Bum Boat tour along S i n g a p o r e R i v e r. Nice!

Singapura: 5th day
The only appointment I had was that of Ho Jun. We would be meeting at 2 at Orchard MRT station. So I took my time by taking 196 from Parkway Parade to Queensway. On my way there, I saw many familiar and unfamiliar surroundings. It was good in a way that I could recall some memories I had in SG years ago. Btw, I was almost late to meet up with Jon.

Singapura: 6th day

It was my last day here in SG and I spent it by burning CDs at tH’s. Really productive eh? ; P
